POSITION: Registered Dietitian
DEPARTMENT: Diabetes
HOURS: 64 - 80 hours per pay period/Non-Exempt
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Registered Dietitian/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist organizes the provision of nutritional and health needs to patients through the process of assessment/diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation and documentation.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- Registered Dietitian/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
- Must have a minimum of 75 hours of continuing education per every five years. (These CEU's must be awarded from an agency that accredits continuing education programs.)
- Working knowledge of medical nutrition therapy.
SKILL(S):
- Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with clients, physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and coworkers (verbal and written)
- Competent to assist in program development
- Leadership and team work
- Organizational skills
- Work independently with minimal direction
